Common Questions

Yes — always. La Cabaña is a single private cabin that is booked exclusively for your group. There are no other guests on the property. The entire cabin, plunge pool, deck, campfire area, and outdoor spaces are yours alone for the duration of your stay.

There is no WiFi at La Cabaña — and that is entirely intentional. The cabin is designed as a digital detox retreat. Cell signal is also limited in the Real, Quezon highlands. Most guests find that after the first hour, they stop noticing. By morning, they're glad it was gone.

La Cabaña runs on a generator and solar power system. Electricity is available in two windows: 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM (overnight) and 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM (morning). During these hours all standard appliances work normally. Please note there is no shower heater, and no refrigerator (a cooler is provided). Appliances over 550W are not permitted.

Yes — pets are welcome at La Cabaña at no extra charge. The mountain setting and private grounds make it a wonderful place for dogs to roam. Please let us know when you inquire so we can prepare accordingly.

Bring towels, toiletries, and tableware / plates and utensils — these are not provided at the cabin. Also bring warm layers: mountain nights in Real, Quezon can get surprisingly cool, even in summer. Pack your food, drinks, and supplies as needed — the nearest market is in Real town, about 20–30 minutes away. The outdoor kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and cooking utensils.

La Cabaña is approximately 2–3 hours from Metro Manila by private vehicle. Take Marcos Highway toward Tanay, Rizal, then follow the Marilaque Highway (Km 0 at the Tanay junction) toward Real, Quezon. The cabin is at Km 103 of the Marilaque Highway, in Quelalag, Real. A private car or van is strongly recommended as the area has limited public transport options. Parking for 2–3 vehicles is available on-site.

Yes — parties and gatherings are allowed at La Cabaña. Because the property is entirely private and surrounded by forest, it's a natural venue for birthdays, reunions, small celebrations, or team getaways. The campfire area, deck, and outdoor kitchen are ideal for evening gatherings. Please let us know the nature of your event when inquiring so we can advise on capacity and setup.

Real, Quezon is an underrated destination with plenty to explore. Nearby attractions include Pinlac Falls (a short trek from the highway), Agos River (bamboo rafting and riverside dining), sea-of-cloud viewpoints on the Marilaque ridge, and scenic mountain restaurants with panoramic views. The drive along the Marilaque Highway itself is considered one of the Philippines' great scenic road trips. Real town center is also accessible for fresh Pacific seafood and supplies.
